Feedback Information
Ebay Feedback - I use a program that was written for all my auctions. It does 90% of the work for me after I give it information, and it will take information from emails received from ebay. It also handles all my feedback. After our transaction(s) I agree to leaving appropriate feedback, however due to problems in the past, it will now only do it within 24 hours of receiving yours. I am still testing it, and if it proves to be too much of a headache, I will go back to the old ways, however it reduces the amount of time spent running around. So if you want feedback left on your ebay user ID, please leave me some, and it will do the rest automatically.
However, due to it being part of technology, occasionally it will mess up a bit, but as soon as it does I will know and will try and rectify the matter. It will not leave feedback unless I authorise it to do so.
I’ve decided due to many questions, to explain my bad feedback. I've also been told and I firmly believe that no matter how hard I or anyone else tries, at some point negatives or neutrals will happen, and I expect it, but I will still do all that I can to resolve the situation. I am not saying I am right, or that anyone is wrong, I am just explaining the situations. In answer to many questions that I have been getting, I will attempt to exhaust all avenues available before I leave any kind of negative feedback. I do not leave retaliatory feedback just because you left me a negative, I will try and work it out before I leave any kind of feedback.
Negative 1: February 24th 2002 – the guy found out his brother was the ex boyfriend of my sister and therefore refused to buy from me. This item was a tested and working 20” monitor with a warranty.
Neutral 1: May 25th 2002 – I had no power lead, as it required a special one I do not have. I sold it as untested and presumed faulty, buyer wasnt pleased that he couldn't get it to work.
Negative 2: June 20th 2002 – CD Drive – machine it came from was not complete, and I never got around to testing it in anything else. Listed it, informing the bidders that it “may be faulty as it has not been tested.” Buyer apparently did not read this or assumed that it was working, I do not know.
Negative 3: September 21st 2002 – Buyer accidentally clicked negative instead of positive. Very apologetic bidder. Feedback was good. Admitted mistake in emails. If you read it, I'm sure you will find it is a positive comment.
Negative 4: September 27th 2003 – Buyer did not read auction where it stated clearly “This item may not be digital.” It said digital on my invoice but the model on searching the Internet said analogue and digital, both with the same model. This information was included in the auction description.
Negative 5: November 5th 2003 – this was in relation to another auction. The buyer believed the cd drive on this unit was faulty. Later testing proved it was fine and later sold onto someone who knows what they were buying. This actual auction was for a laptop bag we had no problems over. This buyer had a bad attitude problem, and was my worst experience on ebay.
Negative 6: December 5th 2003 – this auction was for a used laptop bag. The auction stated that it was not in “as new” condition. I offered a refund but the buyer never replied to my email.
Neutral 2: January 4th 2004 – Item was listed as a faulty hard drive. Buyer bought it as faulty, and then complained that it was faulty. If I had listed it as working I would have issued a full 100% refund.
Neutral 3: March 17th 2004 – My courier broke it. I issued an immediate full refund to satisfy the winning bidder. Occasionally this happens, however I don’t see how it can be my fault, and therefore lead to a neutral.
Negative 7: March 22nd 2004 – I had an Apple monitor. Occasionally I will get items that I do not know about, and this was one of them. It powered up, I couldn’t test it as I had no Apple, I listed what it did, and the buyer complains that I could have explained the fault more clearly. Only I can't as I don’t know anything about Apples, and I listed exactly what it did. Under the listing, I sold this item as faulty as I was unable to do anything more to it.
Negative 8: 25th April 2004 – Brother laser printer was what this auction was for. The buyer bought it for £4.99 and expected me to provide her with all the leads for it. The auction never mentioned the power lead, and even if you bought a new printer today, you wouldn’t get the printer lead either. Maybe I was also expected to provide paper with it so she can use it?
Negative 9: 28th April 2004 – Auction was for a photographic slide tray. I never received the payment for the item, and they buyer cannot tell me how they paid. Therefore I never shipped the item. He never replied to any of my emails, or the ones I sent through ebay, therefore how was I to know what was happening his end. I gave him more than a month from when the auction ended, but nothing was ever received. When they emailed me concerning the negative, it was in reply to an email I had sent several weeks earlier, so I know they went through and they just never replied to them.
Feedback Removal: 16th June 2004 – Auction was for a HP Colorado T1000 DAT Drive, Traven, from a server, sold as seen. This negative was removed after conversations with the buyer. Buyer was refunded in full and got to keep the unit, due to an error I was unaware of (it wasnt a DAT drive). Both parties happy.
Negative 10: 5th October 2004 - Auction was for a ATX computer case. No reply from bidder. I filed a Non-Paying bidder warning, and their reply on the ebay site was, and I quote in full: "Sorry for non payment. I did not realise when bidding that you do not accept paypal and do not like to deal in cheques. I have now purchased a case elsewhere and no longer wish to proceed" So, I guess they got one elsewhere before they won my auction, and can't read, as all the paypal details are listed in the auction, no one else has problems.
Feedback Removal: 23rd November 2004 - Auction ended on 18th October 2004. Auction was for one case plate for the back of a computer. Price, £1 each plus P+P. Buyer emails on the 13th wanting 6, and places a bid, he then promises payment, so I send him my bank details. He replies with his address. Days go by and no money. Auction ends, first bidder pays without problems, other bidder still no answer. I send several emails over the next few weeks and no answer. I finally email him on the 2nd November, he replies on the 3rd, wanting my details again. I send the details, no response. I send an email on the 20th to let him know I will be negging him for no contact, etc, and no response. I leave a negative, and hey presto, 13 minutes later I get one. Guess it took a negative and a report to ebay to wake him up.
Neutral 4: 22nd December 2004 - Buyer has received the printer, but cannot test because no power supply was provided. Should they have actually read the auction description, in the third paragraph it says "This item does not have with it the power supply or the cartridges"
Negative 11: 25th February 2005 - Auction was for a pack of 50 computer case/hard drive screws, which including P+P came to £2.50. Buyer never answered any emails or paid. Looking at the other feedback they left on the same day, they used the excuse that they paid and never received.
Negative 12: 24th September 2006 - Auction was for a "Goodmans 27" Colour TFT flat screen TV/Monitor" Buyer bid at 1.24am on the day of the auction end, and won it at 11am. They then almost immediately, emailed me and refused to pay, gave many excuses, such as "I'm loosing my house next week, I haven't any money, I made a mistake in bidding", etc. After several emails they admitted that they had actually bid, won, and then read all the details of the auction, and then found out that the item was indeed faulty (it was in the 4th paragraph). They had continued to buy expensive items on eBay; therefore the excuse of having no money was a lie. I was begged not to report them to eBay as a non-paying bidder, but they refused to pay the fees to cover what I had been charged by eBay. When I refused to comply with their wishes I was called a collection of names. These emails were sent though the eBay email system, and were forwarded onto their ISP and to eBay, what the resolution to that was I do not know. I feel a negative was deserved from my point of view, so I left them one, as I dont think I have done anything wrong.

I strive to get items tested as much as I can and out for a good delivery. However I cannot be blamed for postal delays, delivery delays because of strikes, you gave me the wrong address details, etc.
If I cannot test an item, either due to lack of knowledge or time, etc. I will state so, with a reason. I will also start the auction for a low price and without a reserve.
Look at my good feedback, I’ve sold hundreds of items under the pretence that they may be faulty, and I’ve had lots of happy people when they find they aren’t!
In reference to packaging, unless the buyer requests me to use less to cut their costs down, each and every item is packed in better materials than when it was delivered new most likely. Although I buy used boxes, usually only if they are in decent condition, I don't skimp on the fill, and I try to use environmentally friendly materials. See my comments I have received on packing!
If you want more of an explanation or have any questions, please feel free to email me using the link below. I will answer all emails truthfully. If you want to contact the people who left them, I cannot take responsibility for that.
